Yesterday I wanted to try some new techniques, and we had a 15-20 minutes express shoot with my friends. I used a bare flash on the left and a big silver reflector on the right.

Small strobe with studio softbox

For some time I tried to think how can I combine a studio softbox and a small studio flash. Today I found a good tip how to use a studio softbox with a small camera flash Yanik’s Photo School demonstrates how you can make your own flash rig using standard studio equipment, it’s really easy. Only one more thing I want to figure out is how can I use my studio reflectors with my small flash. If you have any suggestions drop a comment.

Basic Portrait Lighting Diagrams
