Last week I attended a seminar about “One Light Photography”. It was a 6 hour long lecture and practice. The professional photographer showed us how to make cool high-class photos using only 1 light and the available lighting. It really inspired me and today I decided to try some techniques I learned on the seminar, so let’s see the results.
One Light First Experience 1
I decided to share another set of photos, my “Playing with light” small strobes lighting practice.
Not long ago I bought the SB-600. As a true strobist (inspired by David Hobby and Bert Stephani) I made some light modifiers and started to experiment with my shots. This one is the best I’ve got from the first session. I used SB-600 at 1/4 power and a grid spot.

Not long ago I bought a new flash Nikon SB-600 and a pack of color gels. I surfed the net for a solution how to mount gels on a flash, found some ways but my gels was too big for DIY mounting racks I found, so then I saw an article “DIY 580ex color gels printing diagram“, it inspired me to make a printing diagram for my flash. I spend some time measuring my flash head and draw a sketch in Illustrator. Then I printed it and tried to mount on my flash, it fits perfectly.
