At the Beach
Sunday, June 20th, 2010One day after the work, me and my wife decided to go at the beach. Also I wanted to test ND filters and my skill in assisting myself while shooting. ND4 filter that I bought from eBay, was pretty good, just needed some white balance tweaking and you are ready to shoot some wide apertures in a sunny day.
About self assisting, well, I didn’t show good results for myself, my 120×90 reflector always was unstable and too big to handle. It was a little windy at the beach, so I couldn’t focus my reflector with one hand and take shots with another hand. But I’ve made some good shots after all.
So what did I learn from that session?

Couples, Winter session III (Olga & Raimond)
Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010A week ago I had another winter engagement session with a beautiful couple Olga and Raimond. They wanted to make several engagement sessions (winter/spring/summer) and an engagement movie, so we were lucky to catch the last weekend of beautiful snow. We made some great shots, and video material thanks to Roman from ChewedFilm Entertainment (check out our videos on YouTube and Vimeo).
Now what did we learn from that session?
I learned that we should coordinate the photo and video scenes before the actual shoot, and maybe even make a plan of what shots we will do on each location, in order to rule out the conflict between the photo and video.
