On the 27 – 28 of august I had a mini Latvian photo tour trip to Ventspils and all the way along the coast to Kolka. I took my Nikon D80, a Lubitel 166 and Smena 8M. This was the 3d time shooting my new Lubitel 166 film camera. I used the Ilford Delta 100 film.
Some days ago a bought another old camera and it was Lubitel 166 universal, original soviet camera, was manufactured in 1991. Soon I’ll post a review about this camera but now I want to share the original manual.
Take a look at this amazing video, all steps of creating a macworld magazine cover (except printing). First the photographers do their job by setting up light and using a full frame camera to capture 2 iPhones 3Gs. After that the image goes to retouching, where the retouching man adds the display images. Then the retouched image goes to the cover designer, who makes the finale magazine cover in Adobe InDesign. And after all that you can see the final printed magazine.

Not long time ago I bought a Smena 8m soviet 35mm film camera. It was quite popular in the 70s. So I tested it with 2 films:
I developed the B&W film my self and colour KODAK film was developed in the lab, I really like the b&w film and further I think I’ll buy only that kind of film. So let’s look at the test shots.
Here are some photos from my trip to “Kemeri national park”. I poladriod them to get that vintage look.
Last week I went on vacation to Amsterdam. I’ve been there for 4 days, the weather was cloudy and sometimes rainy, but I spent fantastic time, walking along the canals, smoking ganja and drinking some of the finest lager and ale. So here are some photos I made.
