On the weekend we decided to go to the town fair and make a small photo-session in Old Riga. I also wanted to make myself a challenge, to shoot only with my Tamron 90mm macro lens, because I use it very rarely and I really don’t like how long it takes to focus, sometimes it takes forever. But anyway it’s a pretty good portrait lens, with a beautiful bokeh on a shallow DOF, I like it more than my 50mm f1.8 lens. After spending some time with this lens I definitely got in touch with it and I decided not to sell it away. So lets move on to the photos we made that day.

The second photosession from last Sunday with my friend Jevgenija. I decided to make a session for my upcoming portfolio as a Forest Nymph. We were lucky to catch the last warm day in the month, had a 2 hour photo shoot and made some awesome shots.

Last Sunday I had two photoshoots, one of them was Moulin Rouge with three beautiful models Julja, Laura and Indra. We were shooting in the “Royal Casino”, Riga. It’s also a hotel with a very glamour and fashion interior, administration allowed us to take photos inside without any charge, this was surprisingly awesome.

I want to present my vision as a wedding photographer.

On the third of September I was invited to a wedding and tried my skills in something I’ve never done before. It was raining almost all day long, we were shooting in 4 different locations: brides home, church, photoshoot outside of the town and the celebration with guests & family.

Olga & Raimond is a beautiful couple, I worked with them two times before the wedding. That made the session a little bit planer, cause they knew that to do and what I wanted from them. They’ve done the perfect job as bride and groom, thus we got such marvellous pictures.

Last week had my first experience in photographing an infant. Had two photo sets, one at home with beautiful window light, and then we went to the park, to catch some moments with golden hour. But it slipped away very quickly, so I used my shoot through umbrella with a flash.
