Strobox – Create your lighting diagrams in iPhone

Today I found this cool app called Strobox it allows you to create your very own lighting diagrams using your iPhone, and the best part is it’s absolutely free of charge !
My first thoughts was if it’s free so it will be limited in something or your final image will be watermarked, but it isn’t. Inside you have a large variety of lighting equipment you can use to make your setup, from small strobes to various softboxes, beauty dishes, hair lights and much much more, I was pretty surprised to see so many equipment in this app.
Also as every free app it has some disadvantages, for example: you can’t edit your saved diagram, that really disappointed me, cause if I accidentally press the “save diagram” button I couldn’t edit it later. And the second one is that the area for the diagram is limited to your iPhone screen size, what is also making a hard time when you are trying to arrange your gear around the model. I hope that they will make a zoom in/out function and edit my diagram in the next updates.
Conclusion:
I give this app a strong 4/5. This is a must have app for every strobist, it’s free, it has a big variety of equipment and you can email your diagram to a mailbox. So if you like photography and you have an iPhone, go ahead and download this great app while it’s still free !

Hey, to be fair, there is a small watermark on the bottom left corner. But this is a way for us to spread the word through those diagrams about this tool. We certainly didn’t want to put a watermark in the middle of the screen
Glad you like it!
