Consequences of a New Year
January 22nd, 2010After a new year there was a contest on a local forum that I read, it called “Consequences of a New Year”. I need to make a picture in a humored manner, so I decided to focus on a calendar date 2 of January. In the end the contest failed, cause only 2 works had been sent. But still I’m glad I had that motivation to make some interesting shots, I’ve never done before.

January 17th, 2010Cactus V2s Modification
January 14th, 2010After the last session I was really pissed off about my Cactus V2s trigger. Every time I moved the flash tripod my flash was falling down because the screw on the trigger was loose, I tried to tighten it up but it was no use, the plastic was rubbed off there and it slips down very easy. So I came up with this idea.
1. Drill a hole in the metal bracket 5mm in diameter.
2. Stick the screw in the whole and tighten the nut.
3. You are ready to fire !
So you have 2 holes to screw in, and you can change it any time you need. Pretty easy and fast to make.
Couples, Winter session II
January 14th, 2010This week I made one couple shoot. It was -10 outside and we were able to work only for 1 hour so I didn’t get as much pictures I wanted. I hope when the weather will become warmer we will continue this photo shoot with them.
Today I spontaneously decided to write some things I learned after each shoot, cause there is always something new in every photo session.
Now what did we learn ?
I learned that I’ll think twice next time I want to shoot outside when there is ten degree below zero.
Winter photo session I
January 12th, 2010Today I want to post my first winter photo session. I started with my wife, we went to the forest not far from out house and made a short 40 min photo shoot, it was very cold outside -10 C° so we freezed after first 10 min shooting. So anyway let’s check out the photos I made. Also you can see the full winter photo session set.
DIY iPhone Macro Lens
January 8th, 2010Some long time ago I saw a post on DIYphotography “Super Macro Your Cellphone Camera With A DVD Lens“, and I decided to try and make the same thing only with the laser pen I’ve got dusting around for quite a while. I made a step by step tutorial how to make a macro lens for iPhone or any other cellphone as well.
1. Get yourself a laser pen.
